Re: S/A 9820 AND 9811 Continuum Series

The 9820 series of mods are actually considered "Continuum 1".

They have a newer version out which is the 9825 modulator "Continuum 2" w/ built in stereo encoder. Saves rack space & chassis.

Just to get a baseline...does it always show up on the same slot number? Or is it specific to the module itself (i.e. you move the mod & the alarm follows)?

Ususally this type of alarm needs to have every module with an issue reset in the chassis. It is not a hardware issue, just a problem with the controller & mods getting the alarm in it's "memory". The problem here is that even after you reset one, the other wants to pass on the alarm to the other.

You may need to reset the controller in a blank chassis, then reset each mod individually. This should clear the erroneous alarm. It's been a while since I've worked with those mods, but I recall many long days/nights of dealing with those alarms. Really wasn't fun as I was the contracted integrator, and couldn't leave it until I proved our rebuild was good.

PM me if that doesn't do it, or if you have questions.
