Re: 1099 questions?


The only time that you can be a 1099 employee, that I am aware of, is if you actually have a stake in the company and you work there (shareholder, partner, etc).

I am pretty sure that if someone is 1099, and the receive any kind of benefits, gas allowance, etc., they are technically an employee and would have to be reclassified as such. (usa)
