I'd love to throw some numbers out but the ones I know should be kept in confidence as far as construction prices.I've been building cable a while but the total cost is hard to keep track of when you start to factor in permits and make ready.I was after cost of cable (dual plant/ trunk feeder). Mr. Graham has a realistic figure below,I pencilled on it a while last night and came up with $8,211.46 per mile lashed cable 750/500. Thats no connectors, no heatshrink no fiber. That figure assumes 1mile each in reality there would be some spans with only one cable but I'm ballparking here. That includes cost of strand cable and construction no preforms, anchors, bug-nuts or straps so I would say $10,000 is quite realistic per mile lashed cable. I would say it would almost double if you threw in 860electronics connectors splicing and activation.
