I Love the phrase the amnesty people use. There not criminals. In fact most of them are Felons. Its a felony to use fake and stolen SS #s which most of them do. There are Americans in jail for identity theft but the Illegals not only get forgiven for commiting these felonies but get rewarded, by them and their families getting to be citizens. Whats even worse Lou Dobbs did one of his reports on how the SS department knows who and where people are using fake or stolen SS #s and wont do a thing to prosecute them or there employers.
There is a very simple answer to all of this. We do complete enforcement with employers. Make the fines $100,000 per Illegal +$100,000 a day that it can be proved the Illegal worked for them. Some say fines dont hurt make the price high enough that it will.
Give all employers 60 days to verify there employees.
Next make Employers prove they cant find American citizens to do the jobs they need done. Have a website set up on the Immigration homepage where all employers who what to apply for TEMP workers have to list there job for 5 Bus days. Make it mandatory that if a American citizen applies as long as there qualified they get the job. I have no doubt that we heed some temp workers but the employers should have to prove they cant find Americans to do the jobs 1st.
Also anyone who wants to become a temp worker must apply from there home country. After we see how many temp workers this country really needs then we could decide on a certain # of people who we could put on a path to become citizens but it should start with all the people who have been waiting in line for years not with the ones who Illegally came into this country. Make Temp workers Temp workers. You can work say 6 months a year then you must go home. Make employers share by being responsible for making sure all their temp workers leave the country when they are supp. to. Make anyone who overstays there temp banned from the country for 10 yrs the 1st offense, lifetime the 2nd. Make temp workers open to all countries not just south america. It should be equally split around the world for true diversity.
Anyone who would say that this would not be fair for whatever reason doesnt give a dam about American citizen workers. I do. Ive worked in these lower wage jobs and know many who do now. I dont want to see Americans working full time and living in poverty because ILLEGALS are driving down there wages and keeping them down. If there was a true labor shortage like all the amnesty people are saying wages for the lowest paid amoung us would be going up not down. Im sorry for the people in Mexico that they dont have the guts as a people to raise up and change there corrupt goverment but that should not become our problem. That doesnt mean they shoud get to Illegally come here and put more Americans in or close to living in poverty. Drain our social services, our schools, our hospitals. Once they rise up and change their corrupt goverment then maybe the US could figure out a way to help them raise themselves up but we must take care of Americans 1st.
