Posting it on that particular day never truly even occurred to me as far as significance of the posting. To me, every day is significant when my kids lives are at stake on a moment's notice in the military. I truly hope that based on your cynicism, you did your time in the armed forces at some point, but I'm kind of doubting it because if you had, patriotism wouldn't be the issue at hand here, rather it would be the word of the man/woman in the military telling the story.
