If you are talking about just toting them around for "maintenance" then yes a tackle box of some sort works great. If you are referring to how to track changes within the amps to pads and eq's then there are lil stickers (most new housings are equiped with these) that go into the lid of the amp. States input/output attenuation levels, voltage , date ,ect. When these actives are set up they should not have to be changed anymore unless the plant design has changed or there is a problem that needs fixed prior to the active rather than changing a pad/eq to compensate for the change in levels. (except for drastic weather changes in some instances) If you have people radomly changing pads/eq's then they need to have their hand smacked and told to stay out of the actives. Usually there is always something to contribute to the change in levels. ie: squirrel chews in cable, bad passive, bad active, loose set screw, lightning damage, b/b or bullet in line , damaged shield or passive or active ....ect ect ect.
