Keeping track of money via computer

Alright. So I was wondeing the best way to keep track of money comming in, converter control, and other notes/miles. Basicly entering the daily info into probably excel and other basic info of the days work, and the end result being how much you made, a what equipment went on an account (to keep track if a converter comes up in your tech status rather than on the account when you called it in) I was wondering if anyone has sucha system, or an excel office template. I have been searching for such a form for awhile now. Maybe using wrong keywords?
