I don't have the luxury of changing pimps by going to another system. Comcast owns everything within 100 miles of me, and they have regional primes that know they have you by the balls.
It would take me an hour to drive to another prime, and they pay just as bad.

When I was dogging it I never left my house after 6:00 AM, because I'd be leaving money on the table for the next guy.
I figure you're putting in 50-60 hours a week to make 50k, which ain't that great.
Simple question: How many hours do you honestly work a week? Because if I work 45 hrs I take home $1000 a wk after taxes, and I'm one of the lowest paid techs at my shop. Tell an electrician what a cableguy makes and he'd laugh in his face.
