Ahhh, you are referring to him hooking up 4x8s instead of 2x8s. It makes no difference as long as the receivers are configured for a round dish. Using a 4x8 over a 2x8 only makes the system upgradeable and not any negative adverse effects. If he were to sell his home to a future Para Todos subscriber, I am sure the next installer will be happy as a clam to just upgrade the dish and drop down to more wires to the (diplexer?)
The only issue I have is the use of the word diplexer. My understanding is that diplexers are parts that combine two separate bands onto one wire or to separate them onto two separate wires. I have known the correct part to be a High-Frequency Power Pass Splitter.
