You are right prewired and so is Verizon,thats the company to work for imo as fttp is going to happen at the very least in the dense areas and is definantly where the future is at. If I were young in this biz I would be after fiber training as hard as I could. I spoke at length today with a retired bell labs employee and broadband is where its going I for one have no doubts. Its gonna pop and its gonna be balls to the wall when it happens lets just hope the government stays out of it this time. They crippled and nearly destroyed new product development when they busted up the bells and made att share their network and set their rates.Who wants to invest in an infrastructure that they take away from you about the time its deployed? My advice to xxibsxx would be to go in-house with a company who will train you including certification or invest in it privately just like going to college,look into Light Brigade they offer excellent fiber training programs in most large metro areas.
