Then after a little while of not believing their eyes, some of the old good techs might see the change and come back, but the resentment of what the industry did will leave a nasty scar for a long time, so long that it wouldn't be worth it.
These industries will choke all of the life out of their product because the end is near, just like the oil companies are bleeding everyone to death before the big change.
Now after the market crashes from incompetence and record high costumer dissatisfaction reports, some big company like Sony will market their own plug and play TV receiver that requires no dish, and will run off of some sort of WiFi signal like a laptop does now, and the world will be wireless shortly after that making most of the techs out there obsolete.
They will just bring it home and call in some numbers with a credit card, and say what stations they want, voila.
But it wont be everywhere for a couple years, so that should give you guys times to wrap things up before they give you the boot.
But it really pays to stay in this industry, it will never turn it's back on you
