I never said a teacher wasn't worth more than $50K a year, what I trying to point out was that they are always perceived as being grossly underpaid and working for a slave's wages. Teachers only work 5 days a week, 9-10 months out of the year to earn their average $50K whereas the techs work 6 (sometimes 7) days a week, 12 months a year to make basically the same annual salary (and often times the salary the techs get is not AFTER fuel and other expenses as cablecrew would like us to beleive, but BEFORE those costs have been deducted). So you take the amount of actual time a tech puts in compared to that a teacher puts in and you will see that eventhough the total salary is the same the tech is actually making much less than a teacher and like I said a teach is often percieved as making a slave's wage.
