5.) What's good about the industry?
A.) being able to work your own pace. More control over how your work is done and presented. Also these fields are always emerging with new technology which there will always be a demand for.
6.)can you guys give me a little background and explain the abbreviations and industry lingo?
VOIP=Voice Over Internet Protocol
DSL= Digital Subscriber Line
HD= High Definition
Ka , Ku , C , Cu = various frequency bands associated with satellite
CX , CST=Customer
CRZY=most of us on here lol
I am sure you know what most of those meant already and the 411 is really 1.44 because I only commented briefly on my end of the field It would take a small book to cover all these guys and girls areas of expertise and many years to work them all.
So I hope this helped ya a little and if you could narrow down the area your most likely to jump into there are plenty of people on here that have been both sides of the fence to help you understand more in depth. I myself am getting out of Directv as it is on it's way to the bottom. There are a couple new technologies and job oppertunities opening up but not really gonna go into those and most of the others on here that are doing them also probably won't talk about it much either because once the market gets flooded prices will hit bottom just like DTV.
