Re: maintenance tech

Having Spent 16 yrs. as a contractor and 6 yrs. as a in-house maint. tech. I have to go with Linedogs on this one, there are cable clowns out there on both sides and there are good linemen/techs. on both sides. Being the one that trains the new guys that come into the maint. dept. I find there are very few that can jump into the deep end from the beginning, but the contractors usually catch on a little quicker, probably because they have been exposed to many different types of problems and equipment.
