Re: More On Unions

Okay, I'll sign, but don't the HSP's have the list of us. How can 80 percent sign if we are all scattered. I think if we simply all write letters to Directv and Dish Network addressing our concerns about their bad service we could elimnate them or better difuse them. It would work. Dish /Direct and the customer would benefit. The HSP's are only creating hacks and bad service and getting rid of the experienced installers and technicians with simple economics. They hold the work and that is where the power is. Lets compete for that work by going to the heart of the problem.  Start a chain letter addressing this, and circulate it organizing a walk out date, then get the unions involved. But if we simply talk about it we get no work because the HSP's hold the work and we are difused. Fear base thinking will not work.  Proactive thinking will.   Talking to Directv and Dish directly will.  Lets just get rid of the HSP's they serve no purpose but to be the bureaucrats which are driving the cost of installation.  Don't these Satellite companies see this. A new model is needed. Have the Satellite companies mandate the terms with the Installers/Tech and we would all come out ahead. Its the HSP's that have scattered us with tech numbers and reasons to charge us and back charge us and hold our pay. Lets create the letter and address it to the top executives.  Maybe we should directly go to the Satellite companies for the work.  Have them provide it to us and cut the middle man out completely.  There mismangement is the root of the evil.  Any suggestions
