Man, those things are long!! I always go straight to the order from the judge.
The laws is pretty clear that firing a worker because they support forming a union is illegal. The hard part is proving your case. The fact that an employer needs no good reason or "just cause", to fire an "at will" employee makes this difficult. They can say they fired the worker for wearing blue shoes and not because he was a union supporter. Its also hard because of how the Act allows for stalling. A case like this can be drawn out for years. All the while, you have a person out of work.
Companies continue to lobby for language to be added to the Act, to make the Act something workers wont use. They lobby to make some laws weaker, and the ones they dont make weaker, they lobby for things that makes the process a long and drawn out process.
