Pace Electronics Signs With Foxcom
Pace Electronics announce that the company signed an agreement with Foxcom to distribute the Averlux and SDTV fiber optic product lines for small-scale FFTx deployments. The new line is designed to integrate with the MFH1 single wire solution from NAS to provide HD content to MDU and Commercial properties, Pace said.

"The Foxcom family of fiber optic products, provides a distinct advantage over typical coaxial distribution in certain types of properties," said Pace President Patrick Deutsch. "Pace is very pleased to be able to offer our customers a complete fiber optic solution."

The AverLux product line allows the operator to select the services and offers a choice of scalable, expandable and upgradable architecture for today and future services at the "lowest cost per door" in the industry, the company said. Also, with a bandwidth of up to 3.5 GHz, AverLux is designed to process the most recent DBS multi-satellite solutions via RF stacking or the by the intelligent use of multi-fiber or multi-wavelength products.

With the addition of the AverLux SMATV/CATV components, AverLux supports traditional analog service as well as digital off-air signals or QAM based content. An optional return path allows for a competitive and revenue generating broadband service that subscribers have come to expect.

AverLux system components can also be used in a "stand-alone mode" to replace existing or proposed coaxial cable at a price point that now brings fiber into parity with copper based, legacy systems.
