it will take something ENTIRELY new for things to get better. a union will never reach nationwide, and prices for new work have just gone down to compensate for the price of re-work. that is a maturing industry getting savy and that won't go away.......but here is my alternative to a union......DON'T WORK FOR A SH!T COMPANY.........if the crap folks don't have people to work, then that will only leave the quality companies...........just be careful of who you work for, never lose the number of the guy that had an answer you didn't know, and DO GOOD WORK! there are still good folks and decent pay if you do good work and as far as "low pay or no pay" low pay won't last long if you don't accept it.
