If you want to get into fiber splicing and do it right , you need to get on with a reputable fiber splicing contractor as a HELPER. Pay your dues and in the long run not only you but the vendor you do work for will be satisfied. I spend a good portion of my time fixing a lot of crap these "one week wonders" screw up. It doesn't matter where you get your certificate from , you just don't learn anything about the real world. I see it every day in the FTTP. Verizon is finding out that a good portion of they're system will not handle video. I'm not trying to discourage you , just point you in the right direction. Burning fiber is the easy part - (iceing on the cake). Your settup is your #1 hurtle - (making the cake).
