I work in the sales department for a major MSO. I spend mindless hours popping open peds and looking for illegals. I have been thinking about buying a hand held cable leakage detector. I was wondering this...... If I go up two totally different houses and one having cable and one not. I point the detector at the house box/BM box would every house that actually has cable hooked up have some leakage. I guess it essence I want to know if I will see a difference between a house that has cable and a house that doesn't. I have never used this tool but I am concerned if it will show me if the house is active or not. If not is there any other tool out there?
