Re: Drop Bury Equipment

I would love to provide you with expert advise , but , the answers will vary according to the specifics of your project . It would be most helpful if you could provide more information regarding your project . Apparently you are very new to the business .
1. What are the ground conditions ? ( compaction , tree roots , soil type ? )
2. What is the mininum depth specifications for the drops ?
3. What is the diameter / type of wire you are burying ?
4. Is boring required ? What is the average width being bored ?
5 . Is this a one time event , or will this be a service you will offer on a continous basis ?
6. What is the average daily drop count ?
7. What is the radius of distance traveled from home office for your service area ?
8. How large is the towing/carrying vehicle , and what type ?
9. How large is your underground crew ? ( 1 , 2 , 3 men ? )
10. What is the dollar range in your budget allowing for equipment purchase/lease/rent ?
11. How many and what other utilities must you contend with during the drop burial process ?
12 . What is the average length of drops ?

If you can't provide us with the answers to at least some of the questions , do not expect many sufficient or correct answers to your posted question . Research is the key to problem solving and decision making . Some of us have expert advice to offer based on years of experience , but , to try and answer such a general question may result in a waste of valuable time or information overload . Please help us to help you in an efficient manner . Thank you(confused)(nod)(cool)
