Not a good idea. Before I ever installed satellites professionally, I installed my own dish this way. It was a real pain going back and forth. Nowadays, I've been doing it so long that I find my dead reckon to be dead on. Nevertheless, if it is an install in an apartment with the dish on the patio and the TV is like ten feet away, sure why not. However, I always have my accutrack no matter what.
