Re: cable bar?????

I started as an installer and worked my way up or through the industry
to srevicetec, maintance tec, construction, crew chief, forman, supervisor, to System Manager.over the last 18 + years. Still have and use my hooks and work along side my installers and construction people. This industry has allowed me to put my kids through collage, and see the world.
No this industry is not the same as when I started out. I like to tell my people when I started you gave the customer 1 outlet with channels 2 to 13 and they thanked you when you were done. Now you give them 120 channels, phone service, and high speed internet on 5 + outlets and they bitch about the cost.
But what industry hasn't changed over the past 20 years? Those that don't change die. Look at big steel, and the auto industry just to name a couple.
As long as the cable/broadband industry keeps changing there will be work for the old dawgs and the new bees, the installers and the linemen, cawse you have to have both or nothing gets done!
If everyone is thinking alike, someone isn't thinking.
