Re: Info

Trey's answer is correct and others have pointed the problem with (splitting) a single feed. The 301's, 311's (no phone needed) and other older receivers that dish uses are single feed receivers (they are designed for one line). But they want their dual tuner receivers used. Who ever engineered Dish's format obviously never set foot in a house to do any install work, and it seems they apparently didn't give much, if any, consideration to the ramifications of their dual tuner set-up (I wouldn't call it new technology). IMO it would be nice if they would make a receiver available that one could place at the common connecting point of all those pre-wired homes that would feed 4, 5, or more TV's all operated by separate (for example changeable UHF) frequency remotes. Now that would be a pre-wired house friendly and a very installer friendly receiver. The technology is currently available to do this. But who cares about those millions of single run per O/L pre-wired homes! Of course one could stack up their dual tuner receivers at the common connecting point and special order the UHF remotes to accomplish that now.
