i'm new to satellite, but for what i've learned the only need for 2 drops to a single receiver is if it is a dual tuner receiver intended to feed two rooms independent of each other and this isn't neccessary if using dish pro plus equipment because the seperator can do this, it still doesn't make sense to me though, if the dct 6412's can do 2 tuners off a single drop, but that's cable and this is dish and i guess i just haven't fully made the adjustment yet.
