I would guess that when the tech went out to do a local triple sat upgrade, he didn't know (or overlooked) to remove the old multiswitch. Just place a diplexor in there and all should be well.
You brought this up to specs on a service call? Does that mean a H20 HD reciever and a KaKu dish? I hope you got paid extra for that. Are you hourly or piece rate?
