When I saw this post originally, seems like a year ago, I had no idea that this would be the response. I got educated on calculating OT in apiece rate situation years ago. It is simple math. But if you are a contractor/ subcontractor, you don't funtion under the same principles as an employee.
Educating the workers here about their rights is great. We all need to know what our rights are, but no one is able to force a contractor/subcontractor into filing with the IRS as a suspected employee. It may serve us well in the fact that maybe in the back of the owners/primes mind is a little voice saying "you better treat your guys fairly, or else suffer the consequences."
