Until they, the MSO's agree to pay to install armour jacketed fiber for pole work, fibers will still get cut, road projects require moving the line.
But all in all, we all may be in dire need of other work in the future. Look at wireless phones and what you can watch on them. Satellite has become more stable, still pricey but its the installers that work for companies with no work ethics and/or qc program that give it a bad name. My satellite never goes out, even during hurricane season.
