Anti-Virus programs are only as good as it's tech support. Kinda' like cable. It depends on how soon and often updated virus definition files are released. I can write code, what you call a virus, release it today a you might be lucky the best of them canpost an update to fix or catch it. 1st, it has to be known that a new virus is out, this depends on it's deleivery and speed of deployment. The difficulty of removal can vary. Code can easily be written to permantly disable any system instantaneously.
Needless to say, it's the luck of the draw for anyone up until the time a release is out.
Trust me, I was a cabledawg for over 12 years now gone full-time hacker!!
