Nortons is great if you spend the 250 dollars for systemworks, internet security, and the whole kit and kaboodle. Downside, nortons is the most widley used virus software hence the most hacked and most attacked. Mcaffe is in the same boat. Avast is a great on in that it isnt widley used, trend micro pc-illin is also a good one. Just remember, the more widley it is used, the more viruses there will be just for that program, but you also get what you pay for. Theres a happy medium in there, u just have to find it. OH lookinatmyfeet was right about ad-ware. That or spystormer will work for most of ur adware and spyware. BUT also download the microsoft spyware detector as well. It checks the system files that the other guys arent allowed access to.
