1st off I never mentioned certifications. I mentioned getting some experience on the job prior to becoming a sub or a contractor.
There are plenty of primes ( the contractor who contracts directly with the cable provider) that use employees who drive the the contractors vehicles while they are learning. Mainly because those worth their salt don't really want to piddle around for peanuts while some salesman gets rich off their sweat because he thinks he deserves the right to pimp out people for 25 cents on the dollar.
