That's nothing. I did Quality control for TWC in Milwaukee for 2 years and I saw drops like that every day. My old boss has thousands of pics of stuff that would make you cringe.
My favorite was an installer that never once attached the cable to the house. He wrapped the drop around the rain gutter and draped the cable across window sills and ran it into holes into holes he drilled in the house. No sealer, no wall plates he just ran the cable in the hole to the TV.
