Please keep in mind that the skills you have gathered from this field is worth some money. There are guys who work on poles and run cable that make really good money. Many people lean their loved ones into getting in this. The other 2 utilities on poles pay very well. Guys work there 20-30 yrs, retire and have no regrets about it. They are able to make really good money and also spend time with their families. So remember its not that the skills youve gained in the business arent worth much, its just that many of the "suits" dont seem to recognize this and they hope like hell we never take look around and realize that people doing the same or similar work as you make double and sometimes triple we do.
