Ok heres a technical questions for all you phone buffs... I installed a directv system several months ago and as you guys know or dont know it is required for us to run phoneline. Well These guys had vonage the online phoneservice. So what i did was pluged the router into the exsisting phone jack and it powered up all the jacks in the house. Just as I thought it would. Now the real question. Is there any problem with doing that? is the router gonna burn up at all? cause problems at the NID? Or is it very safe and smart idea to do?
