why bother with job postings...any one know?

Seems that there are fewer and fewer cable job postings on the site for work and the ones that are never respond...is it just to waste others time as well. If a company needs good help for work projects than you would think they would only post if serious. Gathering names and info for projects they don't even have yet is another waste of time. . Need good SERIOUS professionals than post the job...otherwise don't waste our time either. Wish I could find other options than the web but its getting tougher every day to find honest work and get paid...
I welcome and other comments and thoughts.
