Yes you can make money and have a career in this Industry. Most installers average a minimum of $1000.00 a week. If you perform quality work, are professional, and, disciplined, you can do very well regardless of your educational background. Of coarse secondary training is a feather in your cap. Usually you pay for that, as well as truck and tools. Go to SCTE.org and find your local chapter, then start attending meetings when you can. The website will also have training programs, and links to recommended programs. You have to look at yourself as a company. Everything is tax deductible including mileage/fuel, maintenance of the vehicle, other expenses like tools etc. Find a Mentor. Try to get to know others in your area/field who you admire and respect and ask them questions that will help you to become successful . Ask questions, listen with both ears opened, and, keep your nose clean. My 2 cents. Good luck to you and welcome.
