In training they have you focus on the forward frequency that the modem operates on....Ask him this... "What is the return frequency the modem operates on?"
Another good modem question: "What is the job of the TCP/IP as it pertains to data packets?".
Phone question for him: "Will a customer's TiVO box work with VoIP?". hehe :-)
"What is the maximum device count that the MTA/MTE will support on the ring side?"
Ask: "How can I calculate return path without a meter".
There ya go.... Just a few to toss at him to see if he knows his stuff. They're lightweight and fairly easy to any trainer with experiance.
