Re: WiMax business startup costs

rack space is usually included in the cost of the tower, if space is available. the backhaul (bandwidth) prices are great right now, and large providers will nearly always include the constructuion to a new site as part of their end. as you said, you already have towers in mind, so thats not an issue. check the "footprint". AC is cheap. AT&T (data) even include a 5xxx series Cisco router and server space in their deals. so far so good. now heres the bad part..........the transponder at the tower site is cheap, small, and now usually wireless ( small, light and wireless are considerations when the wind loading engineering is needed).........the huge expense is the "end user equipment"...at about $300-$400 per subscriber (for the good stuff...who wants crap?), it adds up very quickly. Mexico City has a very nice system in place........Good Luck.
