There were a lot of countries that were willing to help out with the hurricane disaster. Many offered to send doctors, diesel generators, France released 2% of their oil reserve onto the market, and some nations offered troops. The oddest offer was from Panama, who offered to send 500,000 pounds of bananas. Since it is a principle crop there, it would make sense that it is the easiest one to export.
Of course, Uncle Sam is too proud to accept help from anyone.
