I used to do payroll for a cable construction comp. taxes, including ss and med went anywhere from 13% to over 20%. I agree with most others though. A good accountant helps a lot and can be well worth the money you pay them. Sometimes you can find someone who does accounting on the side from there regular job and it costs less than a firm or you could put an add out for one. As for insurance I think it is going to depend on what state you are in, and what kind of insurance you are looking for. Cigna is really good. The health insurance will also help in keeping the federal taxes down too!
