Re: maximizing tips

It does make a big difference if the service person is well groomed, has a positive attitude, and friendly and shows respect for your house. Bad attitudes just don't cut it.

Once had a bunch of hobos set up my universal weight set in my home gym. I only lightly remarked that some mud was rubbed on my new carpet and could they please clean their shoes. I was immediately snapped at by one of the winos that they weren't going to work without their shoes. He had cowboy shoes on. The others had either tennis shoes and I swear, one had flip flops nearly hidden by his hairy toes. They got no tips but set up the weight set just fine.
