Re: what would be worse?

No doubt, having the benefits of health insurance, 401K, pension, steady paychecks and OT, far outweighs the peaks and valleys of contracting. Plus provides for a little more structure in one's life.

For me I did the contracting for five years, lost my ass in debt, got my wife pissed more times than I care to remember, went through vehicles etc. Now am full-time at a good paying great benefit company. Do satellite, home theatre work part-time for the xtra cash. Can't beat the pay for the hours spent part-time.
