In contracting you have risk and expense. You have to cover cost of vehicle,tools and equipment, all insurances, and basicaly all operating expences. Your money is usually 30 days out. It can and usually is feast or famine. In house is an easier way of life. Little risk, some benefits, consistent pay, little chance of advancement. Still a good place to start and learn. Most contractors I know started that way but out grew all the crap and broken promises. Just my experience........
