Opie you may treat your guys well. Unfortunately you are not a major employer in the business. And according to all the post from installers there arent to many companies like yours. Im not saying every company is bad, but as you know there are alot of installers getting treated like 2nd class citizens.
I find hard to see why people working in a multi-billion dollar industry have to be happy just to survive. I always get the feeling that employers feel we should be happy they give us anything. The major companies have no respect for what we do. They throw the repeat numbers, and tell you how much a bad installer hurts the company, but never talk about the profits the industry is making. Just like sumahit said, they are over compensating. But why id that ok. Why is that acceptable. Why arent we comming together to stop it. Right there is good example of how we see the problem, but do nothing about it. We just accept it.
People joke about how 1 day we will be paying companies for the chance to work for them. Im not sure its a joke anymore.
