Pay Rate & Details field

One other issue I see with this site is with companies that place job posting adds.

For companies making job postings why not put the rates in your postings, Isn't that what the job rate field is for! Piece rate means nothing, we all assume the pay is piece rate already unless stated otherwise.

Here are my interpretations of some common pay descriptions:

No rate given = very low rates
Competitive pay = we don't pay squat!
Good pay, Great pay, High pay ect. mean what? Good pay to you might mean low pay to others.

To recap:
Some of the basic rates in your adds are what most would like to see, along with a range of what techs are making now in that system, unless it's a start up project not yet underway. Some already do this and that's great, but most don't. Also, a link to a web site listing all rates and details would be great when applicable. Why all the deception?

More accurate and complete information is to everyones benefit and will help match your company to a tech that is comfortable with your pay scale and not waste your time wading through emails and voice mails of techs that aren't a good match for that advertised position.

How do others feel? (bigsmile)
