doesn't sat have higher levels?

You say 69 db w/great pics.

Not on a CATV system, no F'n way. anything over 30 or so and you start cross modulation and all kinds of fun stuff...

69 db at the amp would be burning stuff up left and right, let alone the GB.

Now, I have seen some VERY high signals during retro, even up into the LOW 60's at the amp - but what you are saying would put the amp feeding that tap to that GB pushing out over 80 dB!!

No way, something is wrong. It is impossible to have that much signal on a CATV system and still have anything even resembling a picture, let alone a "great" pic.

Now, maybe a sat system, I am not very familiar but I know they operate on a higher frequency and maybe it could be around 69 db.

I call BS if you saw it on a Cable system - you say Adelphia...

Vic

wait... unless it was a GB feeding an MDU off of a couple house amps to feed several hot taps or something, then maybe....

nah... Bull$h!t still
you need to have enough wisdom to keep from making the wrong decisions but enough courage to make the right ones
