Hook up a new jumper from the ground block to the split. If your signal is good out of the splitter now then the problem is between the gb and the split. Try a new fitting,if that doesnt fix it I would say the cable is bad before the split.
I know it doesnt make sense since you have signal before hooking up the split but I've seen this happen when doing system upgrades.
