i see what you are saying there oldschooltech.

and here is what i can see as an alternative.
i witnessed this in florida in the mid 80's.

if all the in-house techs. got up and walked out the door no notice,then that hsp would in the position to have to get those jobs out. now then, an msp is suppose to take care of that slack right?
right. now, the msp(wich is contractor based) is understaffed for the extra work load and can not handle it. this in turn gets the atention of who? DTV.
now DTV says to get contractors in there and get the problem fixed.or an ASP. which is basicly contractors.
now we are back to contractors doing the work at a higher rate of pay than the in-house guy's who get the sh***y end of the stick.and who do these contractors generaly get for the work out of state? enter the now available ex- inhouse techs.
so there is no confusion to this diabolical sceem, a contractor can hire who ever he wants when ever he wants.
that's just one scenario.
no one has ever tried it yet.
