Re: how much is to much cable in a dtv system

OPIES.
I have been pulling in my coverage as the money has dropped. I am doing OK with work close to home. And I have turned down the long routes for the 1500.00 per six say week.

Consider:..............300 mi per day
Deduct ,40 cents per mi vehicle costs = 120.00 (bank the money)
Pay yourself to drive...........say $10.00/hr (pick another wage rate)
4 two hr jobs = 8 hrs work (insert other production)
300 mi / 60 mph= 5 hrs drive
total work day = 13 hrs
job materials @ 10.00 x4= 40.00 ( insert a better job mat cost)
COSTS = 120.00......truck costs
50.00.......drive wage
40.00......wire & fittings
week total cost....................$210.00 /day (overhead ) x 6=$1260.00

Pay from jobs= 400.00 /day x 6 days=2400.00
minus costs (1260.00) = 1140.00 gross money before taxes & SS etc.

13 hours x 6= 78 hrs.................1140 /78 =..........14.62 hr

use other numbers..the truck costs take all the fun out this work.

Joe
