LIQUID crystal display. in other words, if the sun shines on the face of the meter and the face is not covered, the LIQUID cannot form into the desired symbols, because of the heat. just keep it out of direct sunlight, or put it on your a/c blower. i DONT have a micro but, when i was using a full size stealth i had the exact same problem(with all 3 meters i used)as you are having. VIVA SADELCO MINI-MAX!!! LOL!
